How Did Your Writing Go?

Hey writers!

It’s been a little while since I shared those writing prompts designed to help you practice the literary devices we’ve covered so far… foreshadowing, metaphor, allegory, allusion, and more.

How did your writing go?

Did you dive in and try weaving those devices into your story? Maybe you didn’t use the prompts exactly, but instead wove the devices into one of your works in progress. Either way, I’d love to read what you’ve written.

If you feel brave, you can:

Post your story, excerpt, or link at the bottom of this article. Be brave!

Or paste your work (around ten pages or less) in the comments section on my Contact page.

I’m happy to give feedback and cheer you on.

This is a safe, supportive space for writers at all levels. Sharing your work can be a powerful step forward. Plus, others might join in to offer feedback and encouragement as well!

Whether you tried one of the prompts or used your own story, I’m excited to see how you’re growing as a writer.

Remember: the real magic happens when you practice and share. So don’t hesitate!

Looking forward to hearing from you. And don’t miss next week’s deep dive into irony.

Happy writing!

~M.C. Convery
